Minor nitpick, neither of those games were in the style of Moebius.

I hope you guys keep doing this, there's a lot of gems that I feel I miss out on because they just weren't at the top of the daily demos list in steam.

Caravan SandWitch feels special. I played the demo through a few times and found more every time. It feels like a game that really begs you to explore, and it's going to reward you if you do. The atmosphere is special. It gave me Sable vibes too. It wants you to learn more about the world. And there's definitely some mystery to uncover.

I mean.. Most times I listen to the podcast I come away with enough wishlist games as it is but what harm is 10 more

Great to see Conscript and Flintlock to get highlighted here. I also recommend Last Moon which is an amazing Zelda inspired "Soulslite" kind of game with a stunning visual style. Also other games like Double Shake (which is a throwback to PS1/N64-era 2.5D platformer), Bo: Path of the Lotus Teal (think Hollow Knight meets Okami), Black Heart (a dungeon crawling RPG that is very Hades inspired) and Parcel Corps (which is Tony Hawk meets Crazy Taxi as you play as a bike courier).

I respect the games in this list because they do look unique and seem to have a solid vision but none of them truly interest me. The indie stuff is sadly where most of the interesting stuff comes from these days as AAA's just regurgitate the same action/fps/third person games in different skins yearly and people eat it up. We've just come off a huge period of big indie games with things like Balatro so its hard to expect GOTY level games from nowhere all year round.

Love the games you guys displayed, wishlisted nearly all of them, also agree with and appreciate the appreciation you guys had for the elements of these games. Keep up the good work!

Wasn't technically in Next Fest, but I spent like 10 hours on the demo for The Big Catch. Had kind of a harsh learning curve, but I couldn't put it down until I got 100%.

It is single player but some of the description they gave for Uncle Chop's Rocket shop had me thinking of "Keep talking and Nobody Explode"

The talk about endzones with Demonschool, makes me wonder how the game compares with Frozen Endzone like how Danny talked about Tactical Breach Wizards being somewhat comparable to Frozen Synaspe.

Already had Caravan SandWitch, Metal Slug Tactics, Tactical Breach Wizards and Demon School on my lists. I'm totally with Danny that within 5 minutes of the demo I knew it was going to be an experience I wanted to play the full game for. I love exploration and it hit all the happy buttons in my brain.

Fumes is another I recently found, like a nonstop Mad Max-esque racing shooter

Not sure if it was part of Steam Next Fest but the game was new to me during Steam Next Fest. 500 Caliber Contractz is coming out soon hopefully. It's like Super Mario 64 meets Manhunt meets Sludge Life. You're a sniper character who can bunny hop around to gain speed and shoot your sniper to gain even more speed or jump higher. You can talk to different characters and have them give you their grim views on life as it stands. There's a few optional objectives per level, as well as a main objective which is taking out a specific target hidden somewhere in the level. The game starts okay as you fumble around and figure it out. But you soon start getting faster and discovering more secrets and routes, and next thing you know you're flying around sniping things to create new routes and flying around like a super hero. It's a ton of fun. I Am Your Beast is also incredible. Played that one a lot.

Conscript looks sick. I've missed that kind of forgotten grimy style of pixelated visuals. Keeping my eye on that one for sure

I loved 5 of those demos and I want to try at least 3 of those suggested. I tried I am your beast 3 or 4 times but it crashed so, maybe when they iron it out a little more? too many demos so little time (strategy demos are very long and I got hooked on another demo called Ark of Charon)

UFO 50

Blue Prince is an awesome rogue lite ish puzzle game that has the player exploring a mansion, the twist is when you go into a new room you have to choose from 3 blueprints of what the next room could be. It also has plenty of mystery and a a very pleasing art style. The demo is substantial and worth a try!

Hollywood Animal is such a brilliant work of art. You should check it out.

15:00 Jedi Fallen Order / Survivor games come to mind. The whole gun and melee reminds me of the Sword and Blaster style from the 2nd game as well.

Caravan SandWitch looks like a really fun game - I definitely have to check it out!

I liked the Tactical Breach Wizards demo a lot, and realized it was heavily inspired by Into The Breach, which I already had but hadn't really played yet. So now I'm playing that with renewed interest and having a great time with it!

What The Car? is my top pick!

The only part of regular Metal Slug I didn't like was the gameplay.

BallisticNG on Steam is like a modern PC Wipeout game, it's a love letter game to the original two Wipeout games. I really really highly recommend it for any Wipeout fans who want to play a PC version. You can even add your own custom soundtrack 😉
